    Join Our Team as a Production and Export Coordinator As a Production and Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing and shipping process. You will be responsible for several essential tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient production flow. Eltec is a Quebec manufacturing success, based in Val d'Or, Quebec.     • Work Order Management:
      • Initiate and monitor work orders, ensuring compliance with production deadlines and the established schedule.
      • Coordination of work order modification requests in collaboration with the purchasing and production departments.
    • Management of Unit Files and Documentation:
      • Opening and maintaining unit files ensuring accuracy of information and modification if necessary.
      • Manage billing and shipping documentation for equipment, ensuring proper follow-up with distributors, including sending photos and shipping documents.
    • Optimization of Workstations:
      • Implementation of manufacturing recipes for starting components and units.
      • Manage change or modification requests in collaboration with the engineering department, ensuring monitoring of current and future productions.
      • Coordination between the warehouse department and production, ensuring the efficiency of workstations.
      • Manage the relationship with subcontractors for the release of materials, shipping and supplier tracking.
      • Coordinate export requests for parts and units in America and overseas.
    • Quality Control and Collaboration:
      • Participate in monitoring quality control procedures for welding, assembly and shipping, ensuring smooth communication between departments for necessary corrections, rework and improvements.
      • Work closely with the technical department to follow workshop assembly stage documents, anticipating any changes in production.
      • Assist the production manager with unconventional requests and operational emergencies.
    Your profile:
    • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a production and export environment.
    • In-depth technical knowledge in the field of industrial production.
    • Coordination, project management and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
    • Fluency in French and skills in English (would be an advantage).
    • Experience with production management software, such as IPSO, is a definite advantage.

      Your main responsibilities
      • Participate in the development of the product architecture and ensure the integration of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components.
      • Develop our system components from design to production, as well as continuous improvement once in service
      • Translate the product development vision into a functional representation and lead the engineering group in breaking down the work
      • Help establish performance criteria, establish validation plans for each system and ensure they are executed correctly
      • Carry out studies, analyzes and calculations, using general and specific technical parameters, in order to guide design illustrators and other managers in their work
      • Participate in dynamic evaluations of vehicles under development and take the necessary initiatives to improve all systems.
      Your qualities and skills
      • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment with objectives being defined
      • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
      • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
      • Experience in product architecture, with a full development cycle from prototype to production phases
      • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and design
      • General knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, pneumatics
      • Relevant experience in the design of mechanical components for heavy equipment
      • Bilingualism is an asset for oral and reading/written communication
      • Good knowledge of the principles of operation and construction of the different mechanical systems of a vehicle, as well as a strong interest in heavy equipment and the forestry sector
      • Good understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances and strength limits of materials
      • Reading and interpretation of plans
      • Knowledge of mechanical and materials technologies
      • Mastery of CAD, CAD, CAD tools (computer-assisted design and drawing in SOLIDWORKS)
      • Able to provide innovative solutions while optimizing the reliability and cost of their systems.

          Job Description

          • Solve problems related to industrial design, take readings and interpret measurements and determine tolerances;
          • Develop the skills essential to understanding mechanical manufacturing such as:
            • Interpret technical information concerning materials and manufacturing processes
            • Representing connected devices, transmission devices and the arrangement and movement of the parts of a mechanism
          • Develop the skills necessary for the interpretation, production and correction of drawings in order to produce sketches, to use the appropriate software and a computerized workstation, to produce detail drawings of parts, mechanical systems, from a mechanism, a machine frame, assembly drawings, development drawings and diagrams of industrial pipelines and circuits, to modeling a three-dimensional object and designing a simple technical object. 
          • As an industrial designer, he/she will assist engineers in the design of machines, devices or other objects that surround us by taking the idea developed by the engineer and putting it into plans.

          The tasks:

          • Identify and define requests
          • Define and measure the parts, objects or mechanical assemblies or illustrate the design and manufacturing details of a part or a machine previously designed by an engineer
          • Draw the assemblies and sub-assemblies with the associated nomenclature
          • Determine and calculate the functional, physical, dimensional, structural or geometric constraints of the parts
          • Take into account design changes, keep the definition file up to date

          Required skills

          • Reading and interpretation of plans
          • Apprehension of shapes and volumes in space
          • Knowledge of technologies in mechanics and materials
          • General knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, pneumatics

              We are looking for several certified welders to join our team.  Welding is mostly comprised of Mig work on clean steel for new fabrication.  You should be comfortable working in a variety of welding positions, working exclusively indoors. Most of the work is focused on large scale work fabricating the components to our heavy equipment machinery.  You are capable of clean, deep penetration weld work that can sustain the heavy strain our customers expect from our equipment.  You should be able to read mechanical drawings and follow a plan to make your work as efficient as possible.  You are also conscious of safety procedures.
